Chuo University

Chuo is a private university with facilities in downtown Tokyo and a main campus nestled in the hills of Tokyo’s western suburbs. Chuo was first founded in 1885 as the English Law School, and has since grown into a comprehensive university with over 25,000 students. In all, Chuo University comprises six faculties, seven graduate schools, three professional graduate schools, and nine research institutes, as well as four affiliated high schools. Although the student body is predominantly Japanese, Chuo is a vibrant and supportive academic community that welcomes visiting and full-time foreign students interested in studying Japanese or taking courses in English.

Doshisha University, founded in 1875, is a private university located in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan. Under the educational principles of "Christianity", "Liberalism" and "Internationalism", Doshisha represents a total of 27,000 students in 12 faculties and 14 graduate schools in two main campuses, and has 120 overseas partner institutions in 33 counties and regions all around the world. Doshisha's Center for Japanese Language and Culture (CJLC) is renowned for its well-developed Japanese language and Japanese studies program. Keio University is Japan’s first modern institution of higher learning. Founded in 1858 by Yukichi Fukuzawa, a highly respected educator and intellectual, it has established itself over the last century and a half as a leader in Japan through its continued commitment to education, research and medicine. It currently has 10 undergraduate faculties, 14 graduate schools and as many as 30 research centers on campuses across the greater Tokyo area. In 2009, Keio University was selected as a Global 30 university.

Kwansei Gakuin University

Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU) is a private university offering Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees in over 35 different disciplines to a student body of about 21,000. Founded in 1889 and maintaining the school motto “Mastery for Service”, it upholds academic standards which rank among the highest of all Japanese Universities. Meiji University is situated in Tokyo's central educational and cultural district, and its distinctive campuses attract approx.100,000 applicants each year for fewer than 10,000 student places. Momoyama Gakuin University

Momoyama Gakuin University, also known as St. Andrew's University, is a private university located in Japan’s commercial capital, Osaka. Since the foundation of the original school in 1884, Momoyama has steadily expanded to its current strength of 5 undergraduate faculties (International Studies and Liberal Arts, Sociology, Law, Economics and Business Administration) and 4 graduate schools offering MA and PhD degrees (in Letters, Sociology, Economics and Business Administration) serving a total of approx. 7,000 students. Nihon University (NU) is a private university having a history of 120 years, consisting of 20 graduate schools, 14 colleges, a correspondence division, a junior college with 6 departments, numerous research institutes, special training schools, attached schools and hospitals, with a total enrollment of 80,000 students. NU aims to develop cultured people who are of sound mind and body and conduct in-depth academic research by gathering a broad range of knowledge from around the world. Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) is a private university located in Beppu city in southern part of Japan. APU offers a dual language education in Japanese and English whereby students without previous Japanese knowledge can undertake their degree in English. Currently, there are approximately 6,000 students, almost half of whom are from 97 countries and regions outside Japan. The two colleges, Asia Pacific Studies (APS) and International Management (APM), and the Graduate schools allow students to study the Asia Pacific region from various perspectives. APU also welcomes international students for short term period through summer Japanese language program, student exchange program and study abroad program.
