Aoyama Gakuin University (AGU) is a central part of Aoyama Gakuin, a comprehensive educational institution established by American Methodist Episcopal Church in 1874. Today, AGU offers 26 undergraduate programs, 23 master's programs, and 21 doctoral programs. AGU's main campus is located in Shibuya, the central part of Tokyo. Total enrollment is about 20,000, and AGU is among the top-ranking private universities in Japan.   Chuo University

Since its establishment in 1885, Chuo University has grown into one of Japan’s top comprehensive universities, comprising six faculties, seven graduate schools, and three professional graduate schools, with an enrolment of over 27,000 students. More than 800 of these are international students studying on Chuo’s campuses in Tokyo, mainly on the Tama Campus located in the western suburbs, and also on the Korakuen Campus located downtown. Chuo University has partnerships and academic exchange agreements with over 140 overseas universities and accepts about 100 foreign exchange students each year who come to study Japanese and/or to take academic courses in English. Since 2012, Chuo has been receiving special government funding as part of a nationwide project for the Promotion of Global Human Resources Development. The goal of this project is to provide outstanding education and support for Japanese students in order to ensure that they attain the knowledge and skills necessary to act proactively in global society.

Daito Bunka University was established in 1923 by a special resolution of the 44th session of the then Japan’s Imperial Diet as an Institute for Chinese classical studies and for the promotion of Sinology in Japan. DBU ever since has devoted itself to Asian cultural studies. Today DBU strives to be a university where national and cultural boundaries are crossed so that it becomes a point of fusion between East and West. DBU had surmounted many difficulties, and celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2013. DBU continues to strive further on to open up a new era. One of its major current programs is to rebuild the Higashi-Matsuyama campus by 2015 so that it will have a new face with new facilities to offer to its students.

Doshisha University, founded in 1875, is a private university located in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan. Under the educational principles of "Christianity", "Liberalism" and "Internationalism", Doshisha represents a total of 29,000 students in 14 faculties and 16 graduate schools in two main campuses, and has 169 overseas partner institutions in 39 counties and regions all around the world. The ACF (Academia Consortium of Fukushima), founded in 2010, consists of all 19 universities and post-secondary institutions in Fukushima prefecture. Of its member universities, 8 universities have signed academic partnership agreements with 109 academic institutions around the globe in total, and nearly 300 international students study in Fukushima every year. Hosei University is a comprehensive private institution located in Tokyo, founded in 1880 on the spirit of Liberty and the ideal of Progress. Founded over 90 years ago, J. F. Oberlin (JFOU) has four undergraduate colleges and a graduate school with a total student body of 8,800 students. We are located in the Tokyo suburbs. Committed to our mission of ‘fostering global citizens based on Christian values,’ service is highly valued. JFOU welcomes over 536 international students from 20 countries as either fully matriculated, one-year, or one-semester students. International students participating in the semester or year-long program, one of the oldest in Japan, study intensive Japanese and take content courses in either English or Chinese. All international students are fully integrated into college life with Japanese students -- from clubs to dorms to excursions planned with our Global Supporters who have already studied abroad. Kinki University, located in central Osaka, was founded in 1949 with the merger of Osaka Technical College and Osaka Science and Engineering University. The name 'Kinki' refers to the region in western Japan where the university in located. Kinki University is now Japan's 4th largest university. Currently, the university is comprised of 13 faculties with 48 departments, 11 graduate schools, a law school, 20 research facilities, two junior colleges, 18 associated primary and secondary schools, and three teaching hospitals. The university aims to continue expanding its educational programs and facilities to meet the needs of today's rapidly changing society. Associated schools spread all over Western Japan and they form a large-scale educational network.

Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU) is a private university founded in 1889 and located in Nishinomiya City of Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. In alignment with the school motto “Mastery for Service” KGU aims to cultivate world citizens by emphasizing internationalization through various study abroad programs and offering academic degrees in English. Since its founding in 1949, Nanzan University has been committed to work actively towards internationalization. Rikkyo University started its history in 1874 as a small boarding school teaching English language and Bible studies. Since its foundation in 1900, Ritsumeikan University (RU) has become a comprehensive university offering 13 undergraduate and 19 graduate disciplines across three campuses in Kyoto and Shiga. RU plans to open its fourth campus in Osaka in 2015. The Ritsumeikan Trust comprises 8 affiliate middle and high schools and 1 elementary school located across Japan. Globalization is a key component of all academic disciplines, and RU sends over 1,800 students abroad and hosts 1,100 international students each year. For international students, RU offers the Study in Kyoto Program, a one or two semester program with 3 track options: Intensive Japanese Language and Culture (no Japanese ability prerequisite), International Relations, and Business, all taught in English. The Ritsumeikan Summer/Winter Japanese Program are two to five week programs where students learn the Japanese language and experience Japanese culture. Showa Women’s University (SWU) is a private women’s university located in the center of Tokyo. It was founded by renowned poet and literary critic Enkichi Hitomi and his wife Midori in 1920. Its mission has been to educate women to become self-reliant and to take a significant role in society under the motto, “Be a Light to the World”. SWU has 2 graduate schools and 4 undergraduate schools with areas of studies in the liberal arts, social sciences, design, food science, and global business.
